My hilarious, horrible, muddled attempts to ward off starvation.

Are you sick of people who know how to cook?

Who never drop the food on the floor, while forgetting ingredients and setting off the smoke detector?

Then you’ve come to the right place.

Just think… if you grew your own spinach, you could eat salads quite easily, which one doesn’t have to cook. :-) I’ve made two salads so far with my “spinach experiment” spinach, and I’m getting ready to make another for hubby tonight. Fresh-picked spinach… so wonderful.

Thanks so much for coming by my blog… I’ve enjoyed my visit to yours, quite humorous. :-D

Ironically, I’m eating a salad as I read this! Though on the opposite end of the spectrum from home grown spinach it’s made from store bought shredded lettuce.

(I’m not ashamed.)

(Well, a little bit.)

A man I know is the king of setting off the smoke detector while destroying any recipe he has! BBQ is MUCH safer at his house, at least then there are fewer ingredients he can burn or dry out. The odd thing is the man WORKS as a chef–what happens, do the aliens grab him between work and home? Obviously his cooking skills are left at work. However since I was not a cordon bleu chef at 30 (hmm, not one now either…) I guess I shouldn’t complain but I’m never sure how he manages it.

Maybe he’s just trying to avoid having to cook – my childhood best friend’s dad was a professional chef and he always complained that nobody ever invited them over for dinner because everyone was too scared to cook for him, so maybe this guy is just tricking people into thinking he can’t cook at home! (Or maybe he just secretly prefers BBQ!)

Happy SITS Day! Don’t worry… even those of us who THINK we know how to cook forget important ingredients like melted butter you were supposed to put in the bread dough you were baking to take to some people and thinking that the frozen pie crust was BAKED and making a chocolate pudding pie, only to find out after your in-laws started eating it (of course because you were serving it you didn’t get the first bite) you realize your HUGE mistake and have to tell everyone to “STOP EATING!”
Have a wonderful SITS Day!

I’m glad that there’s one other person besides me on the net who is attempting to cook as well! Hooray for the beginners :)
