Wanna know what’s happening in Glocca Morra? Well, the opportunity is quickly passing, as Finian’s Rainbow is closing this month.
Hesitant to begin, I was drawn into the scenery and storyline, and quite enjoyed the musical.
It certainly doesn’t showcase a modern sense of realism, nor does the story connect on a deep level, but that’s all part of its charm. Watching Finian’s Rainbow is being able to step into a musical of the 1940s (which is appropriate, as that’s when it was written). And with my love of old school movie musicals, I was entranced.
