Friday Finds: Heineken Factory

January 9, 2009

It’s a bird, it’s a plane, it’s a new feature on Best of Fates! Friday Finds are going to be anything I love and want to share with you. What would be the strangest way to start off this new feature? Probably by picking something incredibly random and relatively pointless. Here we go.

The first ever Find is the Heineken Factory in Amsterdam. Have you never been to a beer factory? It’s okay, I myself was unfamiliar with the concept until last summer. See, it’s basically a brewery, but it has a museum/palace of fun attached that people can visit for a nominal fee. Well, maybe not nominal. Actually, factoring in inflation, it costs a bloody fortune. But it’s worth it. Well, assuming you don’t have something else to be doing, like drugs or prostitution. Those activities are lame anyways. Follow my advice, and soon you too can be pointing at a large globe.

See, I told you. How can you not love a brewery with a large globe? And look, I can find myself! Take that Ms. “If it was up to me, you’d never have been allowed in GT” Herst.

Do you prefer your brewery activites to occur while uncomftorably sitting on a sphere, craftily used for advertising space? Who doesn’t!

Skye and I made a stranger take our picture beside this sign. Because it WAS Holland. Get it? Then why aren’t you laughing?
This is hops…or barley. Oh dear. It turns out I didn’t learn as much as I thought.
This is a fake French bistro. Every brewery has one.
Oh that Heinekein, it’s always so modest.
Look! This is actually educational and directly related to beer production. I have no memory of this room.
Sick of learning? Then sit on down and watch Heineken ads in their new-age movie seats. Popcorn not included.
Skye knows not only where we are, but where we came from. Wow, you sure can be deep sometimes Heineken.
All games are more fun with in circular shape. This is a scientific fact.
Do you like beer cans? Then you’ll Love a huge beer can. Unless you only like it for the beer. Then you’re doomed to disappointment.
Guess what? They even have a bar.
That is the look of someone enjoying a Heineken. Or without a soul.
So what are you waiting for? Go to the Heineken factory today! After all, if I’m recommending it, it must be awesome. (for proof of awesomeness, see above photos)
