My office is in the woods, so it’s only natural we have a hearty deer community.
But one deer, Wilma, is special.
While part of me wants to yell and act crazy so she runs when she sees people, especially ones pointing large black things that click, I admit I’m impressed at her lack of fear.
It’s a gutsy, dangerous lack of self preservation.
Yet I tell myself she doesn’t act like that with all humans.
I tell myself that I’m special, that the bond we share is special.
But then, I’m sure that’s what all the humans think.
Doesn’t she just radiate the Wilma vibe?

I just think you naturally bond with animals. They can sense a kinship with you!
She is so totally a Wilma. Good call.
I don’t get to see many deer around my house here in the desert but they visit my parents house up north quite often. It always seems kind of magical when they stop at look at you. Not the same way Wilma looks at you, I know that is a SPECIAL kind of look ’cause she is your deer friend and all.
Whatever you do, don’t say anything about Bambi’s mother!
I think you have the touch, she knows you won’t harm her!

You’re the animal whisperer…I think you’ve found your calling….
Beautiful. Where’s her sister, Winifred?
I love deer.
she TOTALLY does, though it makes me sad that i can see her ribs. please feed wilma!
I love Wilma!
I hope she is all discerning and knows how special you are.
I would hate to think Wilma is just stupid.
Sigh.
Buy her a big scary bear costume…that should keep those pesky hunters away from her
She’s so pretty! We get a lot of deer here, too, and oftentimes they bolt if you so much as glance at them, but every now and then there’s a really tame one like this and they let you get really close.
I just posted about leafy hideaways. Seeing the above, I feel a bit silly now.
She’s totally a Wilma! There can’t possibly be a better name for such beauty!
