With my books finally organized, I can’t resist sharing the photographic evidence.

*shouts of joy, copious weeping*

I know, it effects me that way too.  No need to be ashamed.

Here is my library:

No, this is the Beast’s library. But a girl can dream.

This photo may not look like much to you. But then you are missing the significance. There is nothing on my floor.  In possibly the first time in a decade, the ever-present pile of books is missing.

IMG_0747
What kind of books do you want to see first? History, you say? Well, here it is.

IMG_0748
Not satisfied with history? Maybe you’d rather check out some books in Essays.

Essays might be my favorite section.

But don’t tell the other sections, I don’t think they could handle it.

IMG_0749
What was that I hear? You are really just waiting for

Intelligence Community/Politics/Current Affairs? Well then, here you go.
The piles are not very neat looking (especially because my bookcase tilts ever so slightly forward, so one day they will all come crashing down) but we do what we must to make all the books fit.

IMG_0750
Wait, you’re STILL not satisfied? How ’bout some travel?
I might go a little overboard when it comes to travel.

IMG_0751
Is Memoirs what my public is clamouring for?
Well, never think that I would leave you wanting.

Memoirs fits so perfectly on my shelf. Clearly, I can never buy a memoir again, or it will throw off the perfect balance I have achieved.

IMG_0743
Now I know what you want to read about, it’s the Middle East, isn’t it?

Well then, you’ve come to the right place.

IMG_0744
Was that enough to satisfy you? I thought not.

IMG_0745
Even more you say? Man, you’re demanding.

Well, I guess one more shelf.

IMG_0752
Whew! I, for one, am glad to be through with that.

Now, how about some philosophy?

IMG_0753
Philosophy always puts me in mood for learning another language, specifically Arabic or French.

IMG_0754
Then that puts me in the mood for Chinese, ASL, and Latin.

It’s a vicious cycle.

IMG_0755
You know cycles, they always end in Science/Sexuality.

IMG_0757
That was intense. Why don’t we all relax with some fiction, what do you say?

IMG_0758
Why don’t we mosey on down to religion next?.

IMG_0759
Well, this is monotonous. Let’s spice it up. Why don’t we look at
Yearbooks/Oversized books that should be sorted but instead are
kept on this middle shelf.

I can sense you’re yearning for that.

IMG_0760
Nothing feels as good after a nice Oversized read as some Sociology/English/Poetry/Economics. Are you with me?

IMG_0761
I know what you’re asking yourself now, sure all those books are great, but where are the paperbacks?
Don’t worry my friends, they’re here.

They come in all kinds.

There are mysteries:

Children’s Books:

(also Shakespeare, Tan, Gaiman, MacAllister, and Brett)

Even Romance:

Whew! Are you still there? Good.

Now I’m off to buy more books and sort within genres.

It’s gonna be a wild and crazy weekend.

*Robyn Giannini likes this* I’ve been spending all my money on amazon.com, and the situation of my bank account is growing increasingly dire.
