Not So Very Much Recommended Readings

I do judge books by their covers. It's just easier that way.

I ended up sleeping at Lindsey’s apartment last night, squashed in on her floor mattress.

I’m trying to sell tickets on Craigslist for the first time and am somewhat concerned about being murdered.

That’s what happens to people on Craigslist, right?

(So I’ve heard.)

(Or constructed in my subconscious.)

(Definitely one of those.)

I need to decide what to bring to Anna’s Thanksgiving party tomorrow.

As someone whose family doesn’t traditionally celebrate Thanksgiving, I’m terribly ignorant of most Thanksgiving staples preparation.

All of these are a list of excuses for my laziness.

And why this morning I have no energy towards writing a Recommended Reading post.

So instead I’m sharing these – the books I purchased last night at my local used book store.

I haven’t read them, so have no idea if they’re any good.

But at least they’ve suckered me into buying them.

And that’s half the battle.

Or so I tell myself,

Megan

I always sell tickets on stubhub.com – takes the fear out of meeting craigslist people ;)

I am curious as to the story about why your family doesn’t traditionally celebrate Thanksgiving. Curious, or nosy. Whichever.
It makes me think of Chandler, from Friends. He had bad memories of Thanksgiving, and then Monica cut off his toe with a knife while she was trying to be sexy. It was one of the funniest things I’ve ever seen, although I hate to see someone lose a toe.

Craigslist? Oh dear. That’s like begging to be killed. You will be missed…

I have sold tickets on Craigs List, AND I am still here :)

Meet in a public place, don’t take no for an answer on that one.

Huh….I’d really like the back story on what prompted you to buy each of those books. I haven’t read any of them, but I don’t think the titles alone would have made me pick them up…do they have pretty pictures on the front??

I recommend taking pumpkin pie–it is a staple at the T-day table and most people don’t like to make it, so you can buy pretty good ones in the store. In our household, the bonus is that most folks are too full for dessert, so you get to take it all home with you, too! :)

Sigh, just another list of books I will have to say I’ll borrow from you, but never will because I’m too lazy to find the time to read.
