One Month

Sharon’s wedding is in one month.

One month.

But how?

There was so much time – time I blithely counted on when I foolishly decided to make my own bridesmaid dress.

What’s that you’re saying?

That I wasted all of my time stalking woodland creatures, bouncing between jobs and fantasizing about warm apple pie?

A la mode, of course.

Yum.

Somehow I squandered all those months away.

Shucks.

This clearly calls for some serious concentration.

Though I could go for some pie.

If your tongue’s not sticking out then you’re not really focused,

Glad you’re back! I missed you!

You’re right about the tongue thing. And I am all over the procrastination junk.

Hey, good luck with that! Count me out, as I haven’t a crafty bone in my body.

The fact that it’s even possible for you to make a dress is so impressive to me, that I can’t bring myself to comment on your procrastination. Other than to say, it”s nice to have you in the club. :)

Hmmm…I’m also a passenger on the slow boat, Procrastination. I’ll pray for your dress making efforts :-)

Oh, don’t even get me started. I need to lose 10 pounds in the next month to look not pregnant in my dress!

Good luck with the dress.

And, my husband + kids totally agree with your tongue theory.

Ahhh, procrastination! My old friend…

Good luck with the dress making. I have no idea if a month is a reasonable amount of time to complete it, but I am guessing by the Not-Panicked-or-Fainting-in-Horror photo above that it is plenty long enough for you to get ‘er done.

Good luck!

You are right about the tongue thing! I think it’s a scientific fact or something….

Procrastination scares me so I’d be the girl to finish the dress early, and then not fit in it on the day of the wedding ;)

Kate does the tongue-sticking-out-when-focusing thing. Good luck!

Wait, who’s going to tell me what the woodland creatures are doing while you make that dress? I demand more stalking!

That is so funny. My hubs always sticks his tongue out when he’s concentrating!

So did you decide on the Tweety bird fabric? :) Tongue out is a clear sign of concentration! Good luck!

I think writing a blog post about procrastinating about sewing a dress should count toward actually sewing the dress. And with that logic, you’re practically half-way done.

I love that you are making your own dress. I hope you know how to sew?

Maybe that’s my problem, maybe I’m not sticking my tongue out as I work so people continue to dump tasks on me even though I’m already busy.

I might be busy, but I’m not focused. The tongue comes out on Monday.

Best of luck getting your dress ready in time.

If it weren’t for the last minute I’d never get anything done at all.

Can’t wait to see the final results!

Oh…I have too many sewing projects sitting around. Good luck!

And, I don’t have to have the tongue, but to run or play Dance, Dance, Revolution, I must point my finger straight ahead. Sigh.

Girl…you’ve got some guts! That’s all I can say. Sew away…sew away!!
