In 3 days, Sharon and Dan shall marry.
They’ll stand before their family and friends, before God, before me, and pledge their love.
Dan’s dad will ask them to say “I do.”
Assuming people still say “I do.”
It might have changed to something like “yup” or “10-4″ – I haven’t been to a wedding in a year.
Sharon will no longer be one.
But half of a pair.

I think Dan should shrug and say “Eh, why not?”
Somebody should do that anyway. That would make me laugh.

I think instead of “I do”, they just say “Affirmative”. But in a robot voice (I just listened to the “Robots” song by Flight of the Conchords, so now it’s stuck in my head).

“Dude. Of course I do.”
or
“OMG. Duh. That’s why we are here??”
