Dan’s father is a Baptist preacher.
I called him a priest before the rehearsal and everybody laughed at me.
Apparently there’s a big difference.
Aside from having to memorize the “i” before “e” rule for one of them.
But having a preacher in the family comes in handy, especially when you’re getting married.
Saves all those awkward introductions.
And chances of the officiant pronouncing the couples’ names wrong decreases significantly.
It makes the wedding a tad bit more personal.
And a whole lot more loving.

The bride looks so lovely and happy!
When I was in college, I had a crush on a boy whose dad was a preacher… I had that song stuck in my head for months.
Not to mention the fact that Dan’s dad is just a cool guy!
Ok, now I have that song stuck in my head! Yeah, a priest and preacher definitely are different…coming from the Catholic side of things I can tell you that much. That’s so great his dad married them, though…definitely a lot more personal. Kind of reminds me of Seventh Heaven.
That DRESS!!!!!!! I’m in love and totally obsessed. Is it her wedding dress or just something fantastic she wore to the rehearsal? Is it vintage? Did she make it? Seriously, I must know. This isn’t like when I asked for the instructions to the marbles game and nobody came through. I’m salivating over that gorgeous frock.
FRICK! Ugh – I totally did promise you I’d send that.

I would be afraid to date let alone marry someone whose dad was a preacher. I have a bad habit of ……..well I have a lot of bad habits.
I think he still should have mispronounced the couples names.
That’s the highlight of any wedding for me.
So is it true that preacher’s kids are wild? Just wondering cause of the whole Footloose thing.
