Lately, accusations have been flying around the forest.
And I’m not one to point fingers.
But it’s Wilma.
She’s been telling every bunny and antelope and stone wall she can find that I’ve been derelict in my stalking duties.
Sometimes Wilma talks to walls.
But that’s a trait with which I can sympathize.
Wilma claims I’ve been too busy studying and working and sleeping to spend any time in the woods with my camera.
That like most stalkers, I’ve bit off more stalkees than I can obsessively monitor.
I just hope Wilma knows that while my stalking habits may change, my love for her stays the same.
If a woodland creature acts adorable
But I don’t photograph it
Did it really happen?

You must learn to keep your number of stalkees down or feelings will get hurt. Could Wilma be any darn cuter. Seriously. I mean almost all baby anythings are cute (strange wording) but deer. I want one.
Yep, she clearly looks miffed. Who can blame her though? Stalkers are not supposed to have lives of their own – your fulfillment should come through your stalkees.
I think that Wilma needs a Betty Rubble to hang out with so she doesn’t notice your neglected stalking so much.
That deer could stand and throw a rock at me and I would say thank you. It is that cute.
Best. Comment. About a Woodland Creature. Ever.
Ooo! Ooo! I got a comment on my blog from someone besides my friends! May I ask how you stumbled across my fair little site?
P.S. Yours is hilarious! I LOVED your mechanic anecdote!
Priorities, priorities! You better get yours straight missy!
Stalking woodland creatures should be at the very tip top!!
Your very welcome for the long list of silly comments and thank you for yours!
I heart you too!
Megan
I am pretty sure that they are ugly with you are not around.
Where do you come up with this stuff?! And where do you live that you just have deer hanging out?
Wilma! Love it! I have a deer obsession, so this post was near and dear to me.
And, as an aside – where else but the Internet can I say have a “deer obsession” and not feel strange.
Okay, just a little strange.
Ah Bambi!
Wilma totally deserves to be stalked more!
deep thoughts by the amazing woodland creature photog.
Oh my gosh that first photo is so precious! Maybe she’s just sad/jealous that you blog about Gerald more than you do about her.
Whenever someone asks why I am vegetarian I should direct them to this post. (I now feel horribly guilty about that time I ate deer in France!)
I saw a deer today when I was interviewing an artist. They’re so magical!
Such a dear.
I’m talking about you.
Not the actual deer.
You and Wilma are dear to me.
Sometimes I leave variations of the same comments over and over again.
